Proposal Submission


Proposals must be submitted on the Easychair platform at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=fronteiras2025, by June 5, 2025.

The abstract must be submitted in one of the colloquium languages: Portuguese, German, Spanish, French, English, or Italian.

Proposals must follow the format indicated by the organizing committee (available for download below) and include:

  • title
  • thematic axis
  • type of submission (paper presentation or symposium)
  • keywords (between 3 and 5)
  • abstract (between 300 and 500 words, excluding bibliography): context, theoretical framework, description of the empirical study (if applicable), contributions to the field
  • references (between 3 and 5).

Type of Submission

Paper Presentation – Individual presentation within the thematic axes of the event.

Symposium – Group presentation within the thematic axes of the event. Symposia are scheduled for 90 minutes and must include between 3 and 4 presentations. The symposium organizer must:

  • write a summary of the symposium to be included in the abstract field on the EasyChair platform;
  • collect the abstracts of each participant;
  • submit the complete proposal by uploading a Word file that includes all abstracts (the symposium abstract and the abstracts of the presentations within it) following the guidelines above.

Event languages


The event will be plurilingual, with one of the languages being Portuguese, German, Spanish, French, English, or Italian.

Format


The event is in-person. However, there is a possibility of virtual presentations. Participants who wish to opt for this format must specify it at the end of their abstract proposal. Virtual presentations will be limited to one of the days of the Colloquium and require registration with the corresponding payment. The in-person event will not be broadcast online.

Publication of Papers


The presented papers may be included in a multilingual collection to be published by Peter Lang, titled Plurilingualism and Interculturality in Borderlands: Challenges and Perspectives for Teaching and Training. The book will be co-edited by Maria Helena de Araújo e Sá (University of Aveiro, Portugal) and Thayse Figueira Guimarães (Federal University of Grande Dourados, Brazil).
